ARTEMIS’ SECRET BIRTHDAY BASH:

Through arcane divination, a few members of SWL have discovered the time and location of the Immortal Huntress’ 4,213th birthday party! Intruding on this high rite would be fatal for mortals, so to make sure you’re not discovered, a costume is mandatory *doesn’t have to be elaborate, a little something will suffice but we also won’t say no to your going all out*. Dress as your patron god, a drowsy dryad, or your faithful familiar, just don’t come human! Make sure it’s a disguise you can cavort in, this is a wilderness rite.

Bring:
***Costume!!!
**Something to be blessed, and/or a biodegradable present for Artemis! (Maybe a carved stick wand or a nice rock you like?)
* An item of food or drink, to share is always encouraged, if it be your will.

The intent of this ritual is for all attending to have their own birthdays be happy ones, for the next year and a day.

This Full Moon has some rich traditionally Native American names, some tribes called it the “Sturgeon Moon” because they knew that the sturgeon of the Great Lakes and Lake Champlain were most readily caught during this Full Moon. They also called August’s Moon the “Full Green Corn Moon.”
Other names are: “Wheat Cut Moon” (San Ildefonso, and San Juan), or “Moon When All Things Ripen” (Dakotah Sioux) or “Blueberry Moon” (Ojibway).
