This month, Fr. al-Khidr will offer a celebration of his Pillar of Baphomet ritual. This ritual was originally composed for the Mid-Winter Magickal Revival held at Bubastus, O.T.O. in Dallas Texas in 2014, and it is a complementary rite to the Seven Chalices of the Lady offered earlier this year as part of our Full Moon Rituals.

The rite involves visualization, work with the energetic body and the central channel, mantra chanting, and silent meditation. The primary intent is to align participants with their True Wills and to energize intent and dedication toward the accomplishment of the Great Work.

The rite involves devotional and meditational work with Baphomet, facilitated by ritual and meditational activation of the solar, lunar, and central channels along the spine. Participants are invited to bring a mala or small set of prayer beads if they wish, and may also bring offerings for an altar to Baphomet.

December’s Full Moon was known as the Full Cold Moon. It is fittingly associated with the month when winter cold fastens its grip and the nights become long and dark. This Full Moon is also called the Long Nights Moon by some Native American tribes because it occurs near the winter solstice—the night with the least amount of daylight.
