Liber CXI or Aleph,The Book of Wisdom or Folly, is an A.˙.A.˙. Class B text (“the result of ordinary scholarship, enlightened and earnest”), by The Master Therion, 666 (Aleister Crowley), to his magical son, 777 (Frater Achad, Charles Stransfeld Jones). Written in New York City and completed in March 1918 e.v., Liber Aleph is an “elaborate commentary on The Book of the Law,” and contains “some of the deepest secrets of initiation, with a clear solution of many cosmic and ethical problems.”

Liber Aleph forms part of the Probationer (0°=0▫) course of reading in the A.˙.A.˙., and contains “significant discussion of O.T.O. doctrine” with its placement in the O.T.O. Curriculum. Later in life, Crowley would return to this book again and again, as it possibly constitutes the “most comprehensive exposition of his mature magical philosophy.”

This class will begin by examining the Prolegomenon of the 2nd edition by Hymenæus Beta and then consider each of the ensuing 208 chapters in turn.
