An integral part of Thelema as a spiritual tradition is regular individual spiritual and magical practice. The Practice in the Thelemic Temple series focuses on techniques, rituals, and approaches to this individual practice, offering workshops focused on specific practices, including both presentation and discussion of theory as well as hands-on engagement with practice. All workshops will be designed so that prior knowledge or attendance at previous workshops in the series is unnecessary.

In many pre-Thelemic spiritual traditions, including Christianity, Hinduism, and Buddhism, devotional work is understood to be a key mode of spiritual aspiration and attainment. In South Asia, this form of devotional work is often understood to be a form of Yoga, Bhakti Yoga. This focus on devotional work is most documented in Crowley’s Liber Astarte, the “Book of Uniting Himself to a particular Deity by devotion.” This section of Practice in the Thelemic Temple will explore devotion as an aspect of regular Thelemic practice.
