Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

One interesting challenge understanding the Aeon of Horus is that Thelema doesn’t have a magisterium. Note that I don’t call it a “problem”.

Early on I realized the Aeon is a personal decision. That was the budding chaos magician in me. I didn’t know much Gnosticism outside PKD’s bleak take on it (I figured it was Black Iron Prisons all the way down with that worldview).

All I can really say for sure is this: “Every man and every woman is a star.” Perhaps it’s not a stretch to call you a sun too. Lord visible and sensible, Lord secret and most holy; as above, so below. The kingdom of God is within you.

If I’m being too oblique here, what I’m saying is we have a tradition in Thelema of not commenting on the Book of the Law. With this newsletter arriving in the Thelemic Holy Season, it seems the appropriate subject. That’s dangerous ground. As it says “argue not; convert not; talk not overmuch!”

The point is that the Aeon of Horus invites each of us to discover what it means for ourselves. I would say discovering the True Will requires discovering who you really are (because surely you must divest yourself of what you aren’t, in order to achieve it?)

But there I go commenting (something for which we have a tradition in Thelema).

So however you observe the season, whether in solitude or celebration, Scarlet Woman Oasis wishes you the accomplishment of your True Will, True Wisdom, and Perfect Happiness.

Love is the law, love under will.
