The Winter Solstice is fast upon us with the gala of the Fall nestling quietly into place. Winter brings us the darkest days of the year, literally, though this vulgar year has been pretty dark on its own accord. The navigation of day-to-day life has changed for all of us during the pandemic. Work has changed. SWL has changed.

Everything seems to take longer than it used to. Things that used to be intrinsically rewarding are a little less so, because our physical environments are restricted, and each interaction is tinged with that bit of worry. As Thelemites, we know that unbalanced power is the ebbing away of life so Winter is the reminder to invoke the light, and to reconcile the balance toward equilibrium.

Join us online Thursday, December 10th, at 7:30 pm, to invoke the Light with a ritual invocation to Horus of two horizons. Abrahadabra!

We close out 2020 knowing that for all the struggles our community has faced this year, we have risen to meet the occasion. SWL will be thinking about how we continue to support the community in different ways through the next vulgar year.
