It’s that month! Decorations all month long; at the end, Halloween, Samhain, Dia de los Muertos. Frazzled parents and children in sugar comas. A good time to take stock and honor one’s ancestors and those loved ones who have passed before us. We also usually have our first real cold front at the end of the month, as if to emphasize the point. But — right now it’s hot as heck and I’m taking advantage of this for more pool time.

The Scarlet Woman Lodge Mass team is working diligently on putting the things together necessary for us to present the Gnostic Mass again. I’m told, however, that the earliest we are likely to be able to do this is in November. We appreciate your patience, but we expect a good result from the work.

We are still having Thelemic Coffee Night this month, Tuesday, October 8, at 6:30 pm at La Madeleine, Great Hills Trail location. If you are looking for a little shot of Thelemic socializing along with your coffee, please join us. There’s food served there as well, if you are pressed for time and are hungry. As a reminder, this is a good event for people who are new to Thelema and the OTO and want to meet Lodge members and ask any questions.

On a more solemn note, and in remembrance of those we have lost, I present the Collect for death from the Gnostic Mass —
