In the Book of Lies, Aleister Crowley identifies the Star Ruby as “a new and more elaborate version of the Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram.” In this workshop we will examine and practice both versions of the Star Ruby (that in the Book of Lies and that in Liber XXV), discuss variations on practice and its best application, and look at the rite in relation to other pentagram rituals.

An integral part of Thelema as a spiritual tradition is regular individual spiritual and magical practice. The Practice in the Thelemic Temple series focuses on techniques, rituals, and approaches to this individual practice, offering workshops focused on specific practices, including both presentation and discussion of theory as well as hands-on engagement with practice. All workshops will be designed so that prior knowledge or attendance at previous workshops in the series is unnecessary.
