Ritual of the Chariot by the Bearer

To be performed at the Ingress of the Sun into the Sign of Cancer, 0°
Saturday, June 21, 2025, 5:42 PM Central Daylight Time (CDT)
☉︎ in 0° Cancer : ☽︎ in 12° Taurus : Dies Saturni : Anno Ⅴxi æræ legis

0. Preparation
(Time: 5:25 PM)

  • Choose a quiet space where no worldly matters may intrude.
  • Place upon your altar: the Chariot card from the Tarot, the remainder of the deck, a lit white candle, a silver bowl of water, and a sigil depicting a solid black pentagram of narrow points (one point to top and the intersections of the points have issuing wavy rays on outward radials.)
  • Sit in an asana: preferably the Thunderbolt or Dragon Coiled Upon a Stone.
  • With the mind in its seat, and the seat in its chariot, guide yourself inward by silence and flame.

I. Opening Breath and Vow
(Time: 5:30 PM)

  1. Prāṇāyāma: Begin with fourfold breath — inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, remain empty for 4. Continue for 12 cycles.
  2. Whisper now:

By the burning of fire I bring forth fire;
By the wetting of water I bring forth water;
The spirit is renewed through the waters of the deep.

  1. Let your breath rise and fall as deep and slow as the tides.

II. Meditation upon the Chariot
(Time: 5:38 PM)
Bring your awareness to the Chariot Tarot card. Let its symbols speak to you.

  • The Chariot that carries you across the Ocean of Tears
  • Drawn by the Bull, the Lion, the Eagle and the Human
  • Vehicle of Will, the Holy Grail, the Womb of Babalon
  • Clothed in armor, hidden in silence, receptacle of divine consciousness
  • Bearing that Cup of Ecstasy
  • The Charioteer moves by virtue of their understanding, not by force
  • The solar current crosses into the waters of Cancer.

III. Visualization: The Sun Enters the Womb of the Waters
(Time: 5:41 PM)

  • Visualize a vast solar disk above your head — radiant, humming with fire. It descends gently until it rests within your heart.
  • Now the disk begins to dissolve — not extinguished, but transfigured — becoming a luminous sea that spreads from your heart to your perineum, from the base of your spine to your crown.

IV. Moment of Ingress: Mantra and Internal Alchemy
(Time: 5:42 PM CDT – precise moment of Cancer ingress)

  • As the clock strikes the appointed hour, chant slowly over and over again:

RA–HOOR-KHU-IT

  • With each repetition, draw light from above, spiraling it down through your spine. Imagine it spiraling into the Yesodic Gate — the lunar gateway — and emerging as a current of silver-gold mist, suffusing your body. Stop when you Will.

Project your hands in the form of the Sign of the Enterer, and intone:

I travel through the Womb of the Great Night
I hold no reins, yet all the stars obey
My silence drives the beasts
The Chariot moves and I remain unmoved

V. Qabalistic Contemplation
Meditate on:

  • Sephirah: Yesod – Foundation, the astral body, the gate of manifestation
  • Path: Cheth  – The Chariot, path from Geburah to Binah

VI. Tarot Invocation and Reflection
Take the Chariot card in both hands. Speak aloud:

Come forth, O Guardian of the Threshold,
Who rides not to conquer, but to bring equilibrium!
Thou who has no reins, who steers by intention alone,
Fill me with your discipline, your courage, your knowledge of the stars.

Close your eyes. Ask silently: “What must I carry through the Waters?”
Draw a second Tarot card to answer this question.
Write down the symbol, image, or message that arises. Contemplate it.

VII. Closing Breath and Benediction
Return to your breath. Inhale deeply, exhale with sound. Allow the energy to settle.
Seal the rite with a final mantra:

ABRAHADABRA

Close your eyes in silence.

Epilogue
This ritual is not a performance, but a meditation. Do not seek results — seek alignment. What you awaken here will echo in dreams, in visions, and in the hidden waters of your spirit.
