Location: Scarlet Woman Lodge-Ordo Templi Orientis
This week’s Hermetic Practice Workshop will continue a discussion of one of the earliest texts of kabbalah: the Sefer Yetzirah. Through close reading in English and Hebrew, we’ll look at its themes and symbols, and its influence in later kabbalistic traditions. Printouts of the text will be provided, or feel free to bring any edition, translation, or commentary you’d like. The presenter’s background comes primarily from the perspective of rabbinic kabbalah, but contributions from all perspectives are encouraged. Some prior knowledge of kabbalah may be helpful, but none is required. If you are studying either Hebrew or kabbalah, this workshop may be useful in that endeavor.
This event is free and open to the public. Donation is appreciated.
