Good Gawds, it’s hawt! I have spent my time vacillating between the cool indoors and the cool waters of local pools. Summer has come with a ton of changes, personally, and I am hoping you are faring well. Today I am thinking of our Brother Aaron who just celebrated a birthday and organized our SWL work party. Our temple looks and smells awesome thanks to our members who worked for hours to clean almost every nook and cranny. We need to schedule a Mass to celebrate!

After a busy month, I finally caught up with the administrative work and I am excited about upcoming initiations in September. I have really been craving group ritual and I am already planning for an outdoor ritual in slightly cooler weather. When is the last time you gathered under the night stars to do ritual?

Speaking of ritual, the Feast for the First Night of the Prophet and his Bride is on August 12th. This is an official Thelemic Holy Day as set forth in The Book of the Law.

Now, it is not every day we celebrate marriage (heh!) though this bond made Love the law (under Will) and the law for all. This is something to truly celebrate. I like to imagine the kind of feast Aleister and Rose would have celebrate. Lita-Luise Chappell has a lovely menu for the Feast, from her wonderful cookbook, The Thelemic Cookbook: Cooking with Correspondences.

While we do not have any particular celebrations in mind as a group just yet, this year sounds like a grand time to connect with each other over a meal. Mark your calendars to spend August 12th with us! Whatever your plans, I hope you will hold the Book of the Law in your heart.
