Gnostic Mass & Ordination
Scarlet Woman Oasis is pleased to announce a public celebration of the Gnostic Mass. This will be a particularly special occasion: before the Mass, we will ordain Sr. Inana as Priestess in a short ceremony.
Saturday, Nov. 7, 2:30 PM
Nature’s Treasures Event Center
11055 N IH-35
Austin, TX 78753
Doors close promptly at 2:30, so please arrive 15 minutes early. The Mass is a participatory ritual, and attendees are invited to partake of the sacrament: a Cake of Light and a cup of wine. A non-alcoholic substitute is available. There is no dress code; street clothes are fine.
If you haven’t visited Nature’s Treasures in a while, note that they have moved. They’re still on IH-35, now in north Austin near Braker Lane. The Event Center is a separate building that shares a parking lot with the store.
To help with headcount, please RSVP to rsvp@scarletwoman-oto.org.
The Sacerdote
Ecclesia Gnostica Catholica (E.G.C.), the ecclesiastical arm of O.T.O., has a structured path for its clergy. Priests, priestesses, and deacons begin as novices, assisting with the sacraments under a bishop’s supervision. Ordination marks the culmination of years of practice. As a sacerdote, an ordained priestess works independently and is fully authorized to administer the sacraments of the Church, including marriage, confirmation, and last rites.
If you’d like to learn more, stop by an upcoming social or coffee night (see the schedule below) and ask.
Meet & Greet: Thank You!
Thank you to the members and guests who made our September Meet & Greet such a success. It was a pleasure to share an evening of social intercourse of an elevated nature. After the holidays, we plan to hold it regularly at rotating venues.
Love is the law, love under will.
