January: From the Master

Hi All,

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

January in North America rings in a new year. Truth be told, there are a couple of dozen New Year celebrations across the globe. This is something I like to point out as a way of decentralizing our cultural belief systems. As a Thelemite, I have a dream that the Thelemic New Year in Spring will be celebrated as widely as our celebrations in January, so I tend to save my celebration for March.

January always gets me thinking about the year past and yet to come. Happy Goodbye to 2020, I say. I find 2021 as suspect as much as it is consecutive. Though my mindfulness training reminds me to not linger overmuch on the missed opportunities of the year gone by, so I do not miss out on the opportunities of the present.

As we enter 2021, I want to take this as an opportunity to extend my heartfelt greetings for the season and appreciate all the SWL Officers and Volunteers for our accomplishments and achievements for the last year. We raised over $1000 for the Central Texas Food Bank. We worked hard to connect with our community and engage in the Great Work. We pulled together through thick and thin. I hope our strength and resilience override the challenges and bring in the changes that we wish to see.

We have many more projects and plans lined up this year and I am sure with our continued dedication and determination we will continue to deepen our connection and spiritual revolution. I thank you all for your support and hope this relationship continues and we achieve success together.

Love is the law, love under will.
